Anyone have ESPN Insider that can summarize what Jeff Borzello discussed about CU in his article? It discusses recruiting questions.

Did the success of Doug McDermott boost Creighton’s profile in recruiting?

McDermott’s class (2010) included two two-star prospects and one three-star prospect. The following three classes featured two three-star prospects, five two-star prospects, two prospects who weren’t ranked and two junior college prospects.

As McDermott begins his career with the Chicago Bulls, though, things are already improving dramatically on the recruiting trail for Creighton. The Bluejays bring in ESPN 100 prospect Ronnie Harrell (No. 71) and three-star forward Leon Gilmore this season, while coach Greg McDermott has secured commitments from four-star center Justin Patton and three-star point guard Marlon Stewart for the 2015 class.

“We don’t have to tell our story as much, because they already know what we’re all about and what our system is all about,” Greg McDermott said. “We’ve been able to get into a lot of doors recruiting that otherwise we would not have been able to.”

That being said, Creighton is in some higher-profile battles because of its affiliation with the Big East and its consistent success. Earlier this fall, the Bluejays lost out to Michigan State for shooter Matt McQuaid.

“We have to swing in those fights,” McDermott said of going after a higher caliber of player. “And we have to swing until the end. And you’re going to win some, you’re going to lose some. That’s the reality of it.”

CU is hosting Martin Krampelj this weekend. He's a 6'8" wing. He's an Euro who is now at a Prep School in Florida. Welcome to Omaha Martin. Go Jays!

Be interesting to hear more about him. Eurohoops has him 41st at his age, which is a few ahead of Alibegovic, who signed with St. John's.

Looks like he signed with a team on September 22nd and then left them on September 26th. Team was Krka Novo Mesto with Malcolm Armstead (interesting WSU tie in) and Chris Booker of Purdue, as an idea of the talent level.

My guess from that is that he decided he wanted to go to school instead of jump directly into the pros.

Was also the leading scorer for Slovenia's U18 team in internationals. If he was a leading scorer for their U18 team, I can see why he is getting attention.

Definitely another in Mac and co. we trust situation, here:

very recent tweet from Kostas Psimoulis, who apparently is an international hoops scout:
"Martin Krampelj (6'8, Class 2015) preps at Impact Academy in Florida. Mid to high major combination forward. Questionable mentality."

Google's translation of http://www.kosarka.si/martin-krampelj-z ... ool-v-zda/ is pretty funny:
"Martin Krampelj left the company, now in the "prep school" in the US

We managed to find out that one of the most talented young basketball players Slovenian Martin Krampelj (201 cm, 1995) Krka Novo Mesto types of leave. For one year should be abolished in the US, where would you through a so-called "prep school" (preparation for an American university basketball) can win a place in one of the university teams.

One of the reasons for the departure, the fact that the winged basketball player in the senior team Krka no space. Extremely athletic talented young man is now waiting for a year without serious games or basketball at a high level, which would enable its development can be even fatal."

Where are you seeing that? I'm seeing 2.8 points a game.

He was hurt for the tourney, I think I read. He might have been their leading scorer up to that point.
