… we also have Traudt for the 3-4 spot …

They only have two posts right now (unless you include Traudt). The 12th or 13th guy on the roster isn't going to factor into the rotation unless things go terribly wrong. Knox and Vice are likely more practice bodies for this season than anything else as they develop and see what they turn into down the road. Their walk-ons are all guards.

Jasen Green is probably that length/athleticism/defense at the 3/4 spot option if you're looking for a change-up from the Traudt/Miller options. If they do add Vice and Kaluma does depart, that still leaves them with a scholarship to use on another backcourt player. They've missed on their top targets for that spot so far (Rohde, Sallis). Lawson could be that guy (looks like he knows Vice; maybe something there). Defense would be nice, but they could also use some scoring off the bench (as we saw last year). Basically, they just need someone who can and is willing to play a backcourt bench role, which could still be significant minutes depending on how whoever comes in stacks up against Farabello/Dotzler/Miller at the 3/Knox.

Was Sallis one of our top targets? I don’t recall any actual public indication that we were pursuing him.

And he hasn’t landed anywhere yet, right?

I understand he’s not coming here. But man, seems like he could be good here and potential BE 6th man of the year material. And then right into a starting spot next year. I’m sure he wants the starting minutes now.

Creighton was interested after missing out on Rohde, but it doesn't really make sense for him at this point with Trey's potential return.

Ultimately wasn't it the case with both Rohde and Sallis that they were not effectively guaranteed to start and that was a condition of accepting? Which, for both of them, made sense for them to get to the next level.

Any sense of where you think he might land?

Jacob, could Sallis wait on his decision until Trey decides? Also, different question, would Sallis do that?

Technically he could wait until fall, I assume. But that's pretty risky, depending on whether places you are interested are going to still have an opening the longer you wait.

No. Wouldn't be surprised to hear him announce this week between Wake Forest and Nebraska.

Don't know anything about Nebraska's roster (other than the Japanese guard), but would Sallis be a sure-fire starter for them?
