I think we may also have moved on here. Greer checks most boxes outside point guard and post needs. That said, Jays don’t usually have five stars saying they’ll visit (supposed to be here for the Kansas game) so may still be pitching.

For context's sake, here where the roster stands for 2025-26 barring attrition:

SR Pop Isaacs (6'2"), SO Ty Davis (6'4")
SO Sterling Knox (6'4"), SO Larry Johnson (6'4")
SO Fedor Zugic (6'6"), FR Hudson Greer (6'6")
SR Mason Miller (6'9"), JR Jasen Green (6'8"), JR Isaac Traudt (6'10"), SO Jackson McAndrew (6'10")
SR Frederick King (6'10")
WO: JR Josh Townley-Thomas, SO Shane Thomas

They definitely need a big. Hard to identify needs otherwise because attrition, internal development and portal options will likely dictate those moves. But regardless I don't think they'd be against taking another talented high school guard/wing if they really like him.

thanks for the breakdown -- definitely agree on the need for a big. Even if King takes a big jump we only have forwards and a walk on behind him

Reibe has to be a huge priority, although, I like that we've started recruiting McVey, who's a guy with a lot of upside in our system with his ability to run the court and even shoot a bit outside. Still like Reibe the most, but good to be planning ahead

I think Jasen Green will be our starting 5 man in 25-26 and will lead the league in rebounding. This will also open up playing time for others at the 4.

In addition to Muldrew, Jackson McVey, a 7’1 center from Georgia is said to be on campus per 247.

Edit: I’m seeing tweets that he’s visiting Florida so the 247 information may be incorrect.

Hope McVey is on campus or we are getting him on campus. I'd love to get Riebe, but we need a big in this class and McVey's got a very nice game that fits well with our style (runs the floor, has nice feet, can play D, and even has a nice shot and developing offensive game from what I see in clips

I think Green has some abilities that would work well for playing a small 5 role (bigger and longer than Bishop), but I'm pretty sure that we don't want to go without a big on the roster
