might work in our favor for Sallis/DeVries/Bates/Traudt (2021)

I sure as heck hope you're right Hilltop! :D

Last week, McDermott hosted a zoom with the media and answered a number of questions. When answering a question about getting Rati and Modestas on campus, McDermott stated that neither of them have ever been to Omaha and he's never met either in person.

I agree that it helps that those 4 local/semi local guys have been to CU already and perhaps gives us a leg up, but our coaches seem to be doing okay with the "distance recruiting."

Agree to some degree but it probably requires a bit more effort for CU to educate an eastern kid about Creighton and Omaha than North Carolina bringing Sallis up to speed on the Tar Heels.

FYI:
For those with a subscription or those with interest, The Athletic has an excellent article on a local kid, PG Chucky Hepburn-
Well worth the read. Writer Jesse Temple does a great job, as the article in very insightful on the inner thinking of a recruit and his family.

Are we showing interest in Saint Thomas from Millard North? Based off Twitter, he had a really good weekend. I think he also told OWH he was hoping to talk to us more.

Don't know where to bring this up, so this seems as good as any, and sorry if already discussed somewhere. One thing that 'Skers have apparently done very well is develop a robust program to assist athletes with Name Image and Likeness marketing, and that has apparently become a strong selling point recruits. I don't know if CU has put much work into that. If I were Bruce, I would find some money and get together a task force including marketing, technology and legal expertise to get a great NIL program in place for our athletes. Obviously Bball is where the primary need is at, but could also help land top Volleyball, women's basketball, baseball and soccer recruits, as well.

With Tamar now out of the picture, I wonder if we shift more attention to Blake Wesley. I think we really need a 2 guard in this class. Hunter would obviously be a home run, but think we should have some viable back up options
