Mac hardly played Martin at the 4 when he was riding that hot streak from 3 and when Christian was playing his best minutes of the year. Why do you think he would do that now?

But, what have some of you been saying all year? four guard this, four guards that -- That's the direction all the good teams are going, blah, blah, blah. Well, answer my question. Who is going to sit so Enaruna can play the minutes he wants? Mintz? Ballock? TyShon? Z? Jefferson? Mahony is supposedly the best of all, so you have to fit him in also. Because if Mac is going to play a true four and Martin or Epperson, assuming he is back, then someone isn't getting minutes out of those

I would have thought Enaruna would have gotten Minutes like Alexander or Ballock got as Freshman -- at about 20 minutes a game. The best thing for us with him was that he had height and skills that are different than the other options we have.

Bishop's going to be fighting for the minutes in a 4/5 role as well, but this opens up more of an opportunity for him. Martin's 3 PT shooting last year at the end of the year was outstanding, so I could see a combo of the two of them in the front court working as well. A healthy Epperson gets minutes as well, and maybe a lot of them.. pushing Bishop to more minutes at the 4 if we have the skills at the 5 and/or Bishop develops more wing stills to keep the spacing

Minutes are going to be tough for anyone, though. Jefferson should be healthy again, Mahoney is supposed to be great, Ballock will be healthy and better, Alexander a year older and stronger, Marcus more mature.. And Mac will play a taller guy at the 4, but they have to be able to shoot enough to keep the spacing.

Spot on Chicago! Most here still dont buy in that players improve. Especially 1st to 2nd year. Bishop is going to be off the charts. He has the physical talents and is a worker and he WANTS it. If Martin is back, guarantee you instead of just trying to get back into playing shape like last year, he will be relentless with his ballhandling work and offensive skills. Both run the court well.

If Martin comes back, I think you will see more of Bishop and Martin on the floor together. When Bishop turned it on at the end, he basically stole all of Froling's minutes. Froling gave us nothing once Big East play started. It was disappointing to see how much Mac stuck with him when Bishop was clearly better.

If Mac is confident in Martin coming back, I wouldn't be surprised for him to use up our last scholly on another sit-out transfer. Really not any space for a player to come in and play right away unless they are a stud stretch 4 (like Enaruna could've been). If Martin is gone then I think they have to go hard after a grad transfer big and the last scholly could be used for either a sit-out transfer or a freshman redshirt candidate (even though there aren't many 2019 recruits left).

I think the Jays are done for this year as they are in on a ton of highly rated 2020 kids and have only two seniors next year. The only get at this point would be a grad transfer IMO and I don’t hold out much hope for anyone of significance there.

Yeah, our roster is basically set IMO. Could look two ways:

G:Zegarowski
G: Mintz
G: TSA
G:Ballock
F: Krampelj
Bench: Bishop, Mahoney(?), Epperson, Jefferson, Mitchell, Windham
Or
G: Zegarowski
G: Mintz
G:TSA
G:Ballock
F/C: Epperson/Bishop
Bench: Epp/CB, Jefferson, Mitchell, Windham.

If Martin leaves, and Mahoney isn't on the roster for whatever reason, we're extremely thin. It's crazy how we may have went from a team with 2nd weekend potential (MK, Enaruna, Mahoney) to a team who will struggle to stay out of Wednesday night (MK and Mahoney leave, miss on TE)

I disagree with us being done. While I don't think we necessarily go out and grab an impact player for next year, there are still plenty of sit-out transfers out there and probably more to come. There are also JUCOs and other uncommitted 2019 recruits (redshirt candidates however) we can go after. I doubt we don't use up one of our two open scholarships even if its on a player who doesn't have a big impact (aka Manny Suarez or Conner Cashaw).

Martin and Mahoney are wild cards but assuming they return, Jays only have one ride open.

Well, grabbing a cashew or manny type player is essentially being done...also using up scholarships on lesser caliber players that would be here for 2+ years just for the sake of filling a scholarship would be a very unwise move and I don't think the staff would do that.

Forgot about Jones. Still don't think we are necessarily done but it makes it more of a possibility.
