I don't think Stewart redshirts, but who knows. From what I've heard, he's expected to contribute next season as the backup point to Watson.

Actually, with Iz being very capable of handling point guard, if Frankamp can also handle the ball some, then we would have the luxury of being able to redshirt Stewart if he is not quite ready to play at this level. Additionally, Tyler Clement seems to be gaining Mac's trust and appears to have sufficient ball handling skills to step in and help out at point guard without hurting us. We will see if he can do that against better teams, but the little guy from UNCC was no pushover and Tyler did fine against him So, I do not think we will be forced into playing Stewart next year if he is not ready.

Frankamp would create one hell of a minutes clog.

I've been thinking the same thing. I mean I really want him, but at the same time, you can only play so many guys for substantial minutes. 10, maybe 11 is the max you can go. If Krampelj or another freshmen play along with Frankamp, we're right at 11.

Maybe, but I think Frankamp is a different kind of player than the others. He's a 3 PT shooter who can create on the bounce and might be more suited to be the true backup point than Zierden is. I think he can play well with Watson, Zierden and Milliken flanking him. We are playing 4 guys in those roles already this year and I see no reason why we wouldn't play all 4 next year either.

I see Harrell as more of a 3, for the most part. He can play the 2, but from what I saw he needs to improve his lateral quickness a bit to be a good defender at the 2, but he will give us a nice option when we want match up with a bigger 2 guard.

It also might make allow us to red shirt Stewart and groom him for the following year.

So minutes are going to be hard to come by, but we are showing now that we are a team that wants to run and can share minutes across a group of good players.

I think Mac has demonstrated that he can mix and match rotations to create advantages, especially this year and last. He has also demonstrated that if he had the players for it he can use a large bench. (Speaking of which the amount of time LGIII got last night was invaluable to that kid's development). Mac has 4 guards at 6'2" or under and he's playing them at 1, 2 or 3 positions together. Let's first sign Frankamp and then let Mac figure out all the ways he can use him. That's a good headache for a coach to have.

Thanks for the reassurance mredle and Chicagojay. I have to think that we'll have an answer soon as he has finished his visits, I believe. Hope at the end of the day he chooses the W&B.

Really? Over Maurice at the PG? Surely you jest.
