Didn't make ESPN's Top 100. His composite on 247 is #99.

True but at ESPN he is 4-star and has an 80 point ranking which is the same as players 95-100.

At this point they don't even have a scouting report on him, so I'm guessing their eval of him was just looking at what other services ranked him. As they work their way through the system they could easily move him up quite a ways.

Remember, they didn't evaluate/rank Hanson at all a few years ago, despite Hanson having a handful of very good BCS offers.

Can anyone explain Justin's 99 national composite on 24/7? They have him at 121. Scout has him at 41 and rivals at 47. With espn having him at 80 for a grade, that would seem to put him in the 100-125 range for a ranking on espn. His average would be in the 77- 83 range for a national composite. Is this because espn doesn't have a specific ranking for him? Do they ever go beyond 100 in BB? Not that any of this really matters, but just thought I'd ask.

I've read a couple places where Justin has practiced with the team and other recruits when they've been in omaha on visits. And i have a few questions regarding this practice.

First how well is he competing with the current big guys?

Will this be happening all year? Obviously he will start having high school games and practices soon but will he still be participating with team shoot around and such?

From what I've heard, Justin has played extremely well.

Composite service rankings really only work when someone is well scouted by all of the different services. When someone comes out of nowhere like Patton people spend their time trying to catch up. To this point, I think only Rivals and Scout have really assessed him. ESPN doesn't yet have an evaluation, although it looks like they bumped him up to an 80 (bottom level of their "Outstanding Prospects" ranking could end up as "all conference or all american candidates"), but that looks more like they did it based on the other service rankings and the quick offer from CU.

Wait a year and Patton should have a more complete picture... same goes for Stewart also.

He told me he had a lot of fun running with the guys during McQuaid's visit.

Also, his North team is participating in the Creighton Prep Fall League on Saturday mornings. Two games every week. First round at 8 and 9, second round at 10 and 11. North is playing the first two games this weekend. I was there last weekend and plan on being there all five weeks, though I have to bounce around and try to see all the teams.

North’s Patton zooms to four-star prospect status, but Creighton beats the frenzy
