Well we didn't land the Harrison twins. I think not landing those two officially makes this class a disappointment.

From an outsiders perspective it looks like we may be standing pat for the fall. Fine by me. The three verballed kids seem like good players who are solid replacements for those graduating. We are big and getting bigger. We'll be a load to handle for most programs we run into for many years.

I would say it has a very low resale value.

I'm pretty resigned to waiting until next year on this one. We targeted 3 good guys and missed on them (OK, maybe Shirmane is still in the mix or maybe he isn't and maybe the original 3 is now 4 or 5 with Gibbs and/or Lee). I like the idea of getting the scoring combo guard as an addition to the roster - guys like that can be dynamic, they can handle the ball and fill in at PG or just take over scoring from the wing, but we may have missed on the guys we wanted most. The positive of the situation is this: We are set up to have a special season this year and will get a TON of positive press in the course of having that season. I think that changes the dynamic of all of this.

Let's look at another dynamic. The Big East remains IMO the biggest collection of non-football playing private university powerhouses in Basketball. That won't change, but I do think we are likely to see a bit of turmoil in the Big East World as the conference shuffling continues. While maybe all of that doesn't mean a lot, it may even the playing field between us and Marquette and maybe some of the other teams (who appears to be a constant thorn in our side in regards to recruiting).

In any case, I think we have a stronger hand to play next year and while we have good names for '14 and '15 on our list, that list will only be expanded by putting together the kind of season we should have this year.
