The article doesn't mention any restrictions on his eligibility. Does this mean he'll be available to play immediately? (Perhaps the just posted OWH article addresses this.)

Awesome! This looks big to me. Will be interesting to see the reaction by the basketball insiders.

Great pickup, just what we needed. This team is loaded with talent and now has experience and depth. It's going to be a battle for playing time as you can't play 13 guys but everyone one of them has a chance to be in the 8-10 man rotation. I think we could now be a preseason
top 10 team.

NBA Draft: Fedor Zugic Could Dominate for Creighton out of the Gate

Montenegrin wing Fedor Zugic is departing professional basketball overseas to sign an NIL deal with Creighton, and he could immediately be one of the best players in college basketball.

They also mentioned that he has 4 years of eligibility and would graduate at age 25. Unlikely.

No big deal. Lot of people graduate at 25.

We have a class of about 150 doctors every year

One of the "best players in college bball" has to be starting from day 1, right?

I tend to think a lineup with Ash, Pop and Fedor isn't going to get it done defensively.

Neal will be the defensive stopper and the athletic slasher we need in lineup.

Fedor and LJ fighting for backup wing time.

I think "one of the best players in college bball" is a pretty big reach. One of the best in the Big East seems more fitting -- projecting him to an all-BE team is pretty reasonable.

Agree. I view defense as more valuable in the long run. But what do the coaches think?

The guy writing the SI article that is so enthusiastic about Fedor has 6 years of professional experience covering European basketball. That suggests to me that he has a fair amount of credibility.

Plus, it sounds like we backed up the Brinks truck and unloaded to get this guy.

I am pretty pumped about our upcoming year.
