Coach Mac must have confidence in Hanson, Hegner, Huff, Gilmore, Groselle, and Patton to man the post. Considering how long we've been in on Alex, I don't think that we would drop because we didn't have a chance... It was between us and Minnesota and I think we would have gotten him.

I still have my doubts, but it wouldn't be anywhere near the first time he told me something I thought was total BS and it turned out it wasn't. Plus I know he does have an 'in'.

I can't believe we'd bail on a high character/high quality player like that, especially if we were a really viable option.

I'm glad that we continue to be a school that ID's 3 or 4 viable candidates for a spot and the first 'yes' gets the ride. We seemed to be doing that under Mac and then seemed this year to be in a 'wait for a kid to decide' camp ala the Altman years.

I would rather have a good player who is pumped to be a Bluejay than hold out for the moon and end up with Keith Denson.
