Was Adam Kunkel really a “very desired player”? I’d say “no.” Nice complimentary piece, maybe. CU has crushed it landing high-level transfer targets. Mahoney, A. Jones, Mo Watson, Marcus Foster, Cole Huff were all near the top of most transfer ranking lists.

Were Ryan Nembhard or Alex O’Connell sleepers? Not a chance.

Your view of recruiting at Creighton is consistently inconsistent with what is actually happening.

Grasping at straws here. This decision was all about location. His hometown is just outside of Cincy.

What makes it seem like we are having recruiting misses is that every time someone makes a big announcement about their choice, we lose out. All of our recruits just seem to commit without a lot of fanfare.

This is absolutely true. You can simplify it even further. When you extend dozens of offers every year, get linked to even more players than that, but only get commitments from 2-5 players annually - it feels like you are striking out. But CU is not. Jays recruiting has been consistently strong and it is getting stronger.

Agree that appearances are deceiving. Creighton like the vast majority of colleges, casts a very wide net. Making 30 or so offers annually, while only having 2-4 open spots for recruits. So of course the "no's" vastly outweigh the yea's" in numbers. However, winning only takes 2 or more yea's.
