Saw this on Twitter this AM and didn't see it on this board. SIAP.

@Future150Frank
2014 6'2 PG Casey Benson (Corona Del Sol-AZ) has been offered by Creighton University. Benson is playing with Team Power this summer.

Benson was named MVP of the Chad Groth Easter Classic (a Phoenix-area spring showcase).

Am I crazy or does he shoot from the outside with his left hand and then every drive he made he put up with his right hand?

Wow. That is interesting. The kid is definitely "amphibious".

Seriously though. I honestly thought Doug was probably the most ambidextrous players I've ever seen. You watch that Bradley game his sophomore year and you really could hardly tell whether he was right-handed or left. He scored a ton with either hand and looked pretty much the same with both. This kid takes that to another level though.

Herky-jerky ballhandling and quick release remind me a little of Dellavadova.

McDermott checking out AZ Power this week. 2015 Dane Kuiper plays with them too. Interesting to note -- AZ Power AAU director was player for Mac at Wayne State.

This was just tweeted by his AAU coach:

John Ortega ‏@AzPowerCoachO 1h
Casey Benson named Adidas Elite 8 in the Desert MVP
Az Power Basketball 2014

Creighton, Oregon, Stanford, & Nebraska on the short list

Looks like ASU and Colorado are off his list now that they have signed 2014 PGs.

Great to see that we made his final four...After failing to sign a good floor general for 2013, I think this is our guy
