Offensively, he looks like he can attack the basket and score in the lane right now. He wasn't a shooter at Syracuse, but he was a scorer in HS who could shoot from 3 back in HS.

Will we play some 5 out this year? Hawkins may be able to be a 5 like that.. think it all depends on if we land a good backup big man for Kalk

Yup, and honestly we need to stop playing 5 men like Bishop unless a similar player is at least 6'9". I'm not saying go back to the Echenique type center...it's good to have guys that are athletic rim-runners but they have to have the requisite size to play the center position.

Guerrier is listed at 6'7. He projects as a 3 in the NBA. He's not going to come here to play the 5.

He’s exactly the same height and weight as Bishop, fwiw. Not sure *he* is willing to play the 5 though, much like Christian was no longer willing to do so.

That was what I was trying to say. I don't think it would be a winning argument to say "come to Creighton, we're going to play you at the 5 and ask you to do a ton of screening and rim running, skills you're probably not going to be asked to do at the next level!"
He'd be a wing for us, I'm sure.

I don't think we want him playing the 5. He's less built than Wragge and the centers in the BE, even if they're less offensively capable as a group than last year with John and Wuhab gone, are still really physical, moreso than I'd estimate Hawkins could handle in even short spurts.
I think we'll ultimately land a good backup 5 anyways.
