Froling has been playing national team ball for 4 years now, according to his FIBA stats page. Avg 12.9 ppg, 9 rbds during that time in 5 Int'l tourneys. Could he give us good minutes? Yes.

However, wIth Martin & Jacob both playing the 5 there won't be many available minutes left. Probably the best we can hope for is spot minutes along with PT in blowout games in the non conference portion of the season.

We basically have four guys to rotate at the 4 and 5. It’s already been said that we can expect to see Martin and Jacob at the same time, and Bishop can’t play every minute at the 4. Froling will play, and probably quite a bit. He has to. We have no real depth without him. And his experience with the national team will help a ton. Physically he already looks as ready as Jacob.

Sam will play but with Jefferson and Cashaw I think Mac will play 4 guards too. Go Jays!

Improving versatility isn’t a small matter to Creighton 7-footer Samson Froling

I think we have to play him for depth reasons. We only play our centers around 20-25 minutes a game anyways (due in part to how hard we get our bigs to run), and when injuries our fouls hit, we'll need him.

Pretty solid picks. Frohling has impressed the coaches.
