Jon Severe 2013 G

Mon Mar 25, 2013 9:07 am

Jon Severe plays for Christ the King in Queens, NY. Named Mr Basketball for the state of New York. Creighton is getting a late look. Apparently are paying a visit to Severe today.

Kid looks about perfect for us and would play next year. It's become glaringly obvious we need some toughness and "swag" in our backcourt and Severe looks to bring it (check his offers and compare against our competition... he's in the right ballpark, definitely)

Not the best-kept secret in the recruiting world:

Honestly they probably want it out there everywhere that they are recruiting New York's Mr. Bball - the most obsessive followers of recruiting aren't the fans, it's the recruits. It totally makes sense for a transitioning program to get it out there far and wide that a top recruit is considering you, it lends you tons of legitimacy going forward.

A decent story I guess, but then you throw this line in and you just wonder WTF?

The Bluejays will lose two starters — three if Doug McDermott leaves — from the team beaten 65-53 by Duke on Sunday.

TrueBlueJay - It's not a secret that we got beat by Duke - and we're in pretty good company

Let me get this straight - you're objecting because they are making the game seem closer than it really was? Laudable - odd, but laudable!

Just making a point about how weak "reporting" is these days. Rarely do you see an article without some wrong information or misinformation.
