Creighton received a verbal commitment over the weekend from another Omaha FC product and Creighton Prep State Champ Alex Prusa. Prusa was particularly impressive during Prep's run in the state tournament bossing the midfield with Freshman sensation Peter Schropp. Prusa played as a deep lying midfielder, breaking up plays and igniting the Prep counter attack.

He is the engine that makes our team go,” co-coach Jim Swanson says. “He is as well-conditioned, skilled and highly motivated as any soccer player in our program in many years.”

Prusa was 1st team All-State as a Junior

The gaudy numbers were for the Prep forwards. Prusa, however, may have had as much of an impact on the Junior Jay offense as anyone. Prep coaches described him as a driving force behind the champions' attack. The junior finished with six goals and seven assists, including the only goal in a 1-0 victory over Omaha South in the state semifinals.
