The inclusion of UNO to Division 1 soccer, left some Creighton fans wondering if local talent might get overlooked in lieu of national recruiting. Nothing has been farther from the truth. Last week Creighton added its second recruit from Lincoln for the 2012 class in Lincoln East Ace Gabe Garbin. Garbin plays outside back and has spent time with the Nebraska ODP and national team camps. Bolowich, Torres and Hughes have made begun to blend midwest talent with coastal flair. Building the squad around nebraska, iowa, kansas and minnesota players is something that has worked well in the past for the program and I for one am glad we are continuing to value these kids.
"Creighton is obviously the big soccer school in Nebraska," Garbin said. "Every kid growing up watches Creighton and how they play, and your dream is to play for Creighton. Everything fell into place.

Welcome Gabe.
Yes, Creighton is one of the best soccer programs in the Midwest, and the country.
We've got more championships to win...including the Big One.
Welcome home, to Creighton. We've got a lot of work to do. Get to it.
