2014 PF Jackson Davis

Postby Jet915 » Mon Mar 17, 2014 7:17 pm

PF from Kentucky will get an in home visit from Creighton tonight per Adam Zagoria. Just had an in-home with Alabama. So far, offers from Alabama, Florida State, Butler, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Vanderbilt and others...Recent Rice decommit, looking for a good basketball school as well as one with a good business school. He has 3 officials left and plans to decide sometime in April.

Interesting prospect. High energy, athletic guy who looks like he could potentially play multiple roles on offense and defense.

Love that we are getting an in-home visit with him. Let's close the deal ahead of our tourney run ;)

Seems like he's a very respectful young man from that interview on gopherhole. Would be a great addition, especially at this point in the recruiting period

I hope the coaches really push the player development card. "The last 6'7 forward we had come through the program developed his game from a mid major recruit to one of the best players in D-1 history"

Creighton now in the hunt for Jackson Davis' services. Family is still considering Columbia (yeah, kid is THAT smart).

Tweet from Evan Daniels:

"Jackson Davis has narrowed his list to Alabama, Arizona State, Butler, Columbia, Creighton and Vanderbilt, per his father Jonathan Davis."

Clearly this kid takes academics seriously, since he has interest in Columbia. But if he want's to play high level ball AND get a great education I think it's between us and Vandy.

Nice, glad to see us making the cut list. This guy has a ton of major offers and seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Not sure what kind of high school competition he was facing but he was putting up big numbers. 25 ppg, 14 rebounds, shoots 58% from 2, 70% FT and 43% from 3 and 2 blocks/game.

This is great news. I'm guessing our in home visit went quite well.
