How. How do they play as they did in the 3rd and 4th sets and collapse in the 5th? I'm sick and tired of this stupid trend. For once I want them to get over the hump and beat a top-ranked team. Is it a coaching thing?

I'm way more bothered by the other trend -- starting matches like this totally outmatched for the first two sets and then coming to life and dominating to force a fifth, before collapsing. Come out ready to play like they are doing in the third set from the start and maybe they don't have to battle all the way back and desperately try to break the fifth set curse in the first place.

It's happen repeatedly against Nebraska now, and that's now three straight five set losses to Louisville, I think.

This team is so damn good and looks like a national title contender in those third and fourth sets against both Nebraska and Louisville. And not so much in the other sets of those matches. Feels like they are so close -- really need to break through one of these times.

Yeah, the slow starts are a problem. You can't keep spotting highly ranked teams a 2-0 lead. If they can figure out the slow start issue they will be in good shape. Need to also improve in fifth sets.

Goetzinger and Bilinovic were the two bluejays named to the Cardinal classic tournament team.

Similar to earlier in the week against top 10 Nebraska, Creighton Volleyball came up just short against #4 Louisville on Sunday. The Jays have to rebound for a couple more top 10 matchups this week.

Creighton stays at #9. Purdue is #6 and Kansas is #10.

Kansas is going to stream Creighton v Purdue on espn + after all! Purdue just posted on twitter that all matches will be on espn plus after initially it was only going to be matches that Kansas was playing in.

Creighton Volleyball had quite a week with bookend 5-set matches against top 10 Nebraska & Louisville & a couple more wins in between.

They created a watch list for NPOY this season and Creighton has 2 players on the 36 player list. Norah was snubbed since they are basically only taking players from last year's AA teams and she wasn't eligible last year.

Agreed. They probably should have released this list preseason since it is basically a copy and paste list of returning AAs. They also should have been competent enough to recognize that Norah was a glaring omission. She would have made a team last year if she met the cutoff for % of sets played.
