Even though we lost to Louisville in 5 sets early in the season, I think we deserved the overall #4 seed. After seeing Louisville got the overall 4th seed, I was hoping to be 5th and end up at their regional for a rematch with them.

I don't know how we could have gotten the 4 seed when we lost to Louisville, and they split with Stanford.
I think we got a fair shake:
The chair is Danielle Josette, the Executive Associate Director of Athletics Marquette University. Josetti, who graduated from Creighton and got a master’s at Marquette, was a junior-college softball standout.

One funny thing is that P4 schools were complaining that South Dakota State and UTEP got at large bids over a couple of big schools who did nothing in nonconference, but won a couple of home matches against good conference teams. Basketball almost always picks the big mediocre schools under those circumstances, so good for volleyball.

What this season shows, to me, is that the absolute ceiling for the Jays in terms of NCAA seeding is probably about where they were this year -- a 2 seed. If your only losses all year are to two #1 seeds, at their places, both in five sets, then nothing short of perfection will allow the Jays to climb any higher.

Now let's see if they can get through the games here in Omaha and try to make some noise with this high seed. I think the Nebraska and Louisville matches proved that they are capable of playing with and beating absolutely anyone on a given night. Let's go do it.

Creighton volleyball finished the regular season 2nd in hitting percentage (.330) and opponent hitting percentage (.125) behind Pitt in both categories. Creighton also finished in the top 15 in blocks/set (11th) and aces/set (13th).
Kendra is 10th in assists/set (11.08)
Kiara is 8th in blocks/set (1.51)
Ava is 4th in hitting percentage among OHs (.332)

Same. Then beat them and have multiple games’ experience playing on the F4 court. But we have played one match there, at least.

Penn St will be difficult, if we survive Texas. Wood floor, steep bleachers with fans on top of you, few Jays fans can get there. I might have preferred the familiarity of playing in Lincoln again vs the Huskers who were soundly beaten at Penn State.

Most of those things will still be problems but I think taraflex courts are a requirement for regionals this year. Penn State plays way better at home than on the road (they didn't lose much either way but they were far more sloppy within matches on the road). Texas also looks far better since they switched from a 6-2 to a 5-1 with Madi Skinner playing 6 rotations. They did almost lose to Ole Miss on Saturday but Skinner was out with illness.

Florida State is a dangerous 7 seed too. They played a lot better at home this season than on the road (they beat GT in 5 at home and took Louisville to 5 and Stanford to 4 in losses at home). They pass very well and Khori Louis is one of the best offensive MBs in the country. She was the national POW last week.
