NM. Complete mess up on my part. Thought he was with Miami and possibly playing/practicing with Messi not Orlando as he actually is.

Awesome news and well-deserved invite to national team training camp. He is now tied for 2nd all time for goals in a rookie season after his goal last night.

That was such a prototypical Ducan goal. Just outworked everyone.

knowing nothing about the national team program, how does the U-23 compare to the USMNT? Does he have a shot of making that team?

I believe this team is the one that would go to the Olympics

That's correct. This would be the team competing in Paris next year: https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/2023/1 ... eam-roster

I assume a strong showing there could grant him a shot at the 2026 World Cup.

Coaches indicated that the World Cup team is a longshot due to the number of stronger players (over 23) that are at his position. But, with the way Duncan works and his combination of strength, speed and finishing, I would never count him out of learning an opportunity.

While things can change over the course of 2.5 years (injuries and whatnot), he is pretty far down the hypothetical depth chart for the senior team.
